Transformers to be a part of planned South Koreas planned Robotland

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Transformers to be a part of planned South Koreas planned Robotland.

Thanks to the Indonesian based Transformers fan site TF-Indonesian.net for letting us know that Paramount Pictures are one of the partners support the planned development of Robotland a robot theme park.  Why is this Transformers news, well specifically because Paramount are only mentioned due to Transformers.  A Transformers Hall is mentioned under as one of the Robot Challenger Displays.  \"Robot Character Hall: Exhibitions and products relating to robot characters from movies and cartoons. >> Astroball Hall, Transformers Hall, Star Wars Robot Hall etc.\"

You can find some artist impressions of the planned designs here but it certainly looks like a very interesting concept.

Mangohero\'s Transformers shop

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Mangohero\'s Transformers shop.

As you may or may not be aware Mangohero recently lost his website due to a webhost closing their service.

Mangohero (as well as being a longtime member of the messageboard), is one of the oldest and most respected best known UK traders. Thankfully he was able to salvage a older version which had been mirrored elsewhere (without their knowledge) and I am very happy to announce that he has reopened with a new URL:

http://www.mangohero.f-t-l.net/

So if you have the old site bookmarked please update to the new URL.

And if you\'ve never heard of them, have a quick look through their infamous unknown parts list and see if you recognise anything:

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called News from the US Toy Fair.

The US Toy Fair is on at the moment with the same figures on display that were shown at both the British and Nurnberg Toy Fairs, the main difference is that the US one normally allows photographs as well as being easier for non-toy trade people to get in.

The Allspark.com are in attendance and have been tweeting away with some information on what is going on, so here is a summary

Transformers: Hunt For The Decepticons (subline)

Human Alliance Jazz with Lennox.  Jazz\'s gun turns into a motorcycle for Lennox to use.

\"Transformers Generations\" is the new name for Universe, i.e a line of deluxes that they can thrown anything into.
First up its announced that the Henkei Thrust toy will be released in that line.
A triple changer called Darkmount is the second \"Generations\" toy. He was originally to be called Straxus but they couldn\'t register the name.  He\'s big, blue, with an axe.  According to the Allspark, his head is spot on.

The scout figures from the two packs can replace the 5 pack torso in the combination.

Reason for lack of recent updates

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Reason for lack of recent updates.

As you have no doubt noticed the number of updates to this website other than news has slowed right down over the last 6 months.  This has been primarily due to work commitments but has also been affected by some other web projects of ours that needed initial development work.  Its not al bad new though, as work has also slowly begun on the re-developing this website from the ground up. This will be a slow processes and will result in an entirely new code base include re-vamped back-end database and scripts.

We were not, and still are not, planning to pause updating Transformers At The Moon during the redevelopment so you will find some new galleries and content being added just as soon as our \"day jobs\" calm down a little.  We thank you for baring with us during this time, but we can assure that this this site is in no ways winding down, more the opposite.

Hasbro issue pre US toyfair release

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Hasbro issue pre US toyfair release.

Hasbro have issued the following press release.

HASBRO’S TRANSFORMERS BRAND EXPANDS “MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE” UNIVERSE IN 2010 WITH NEW TOYS THAT CAPTURE THE EXCITEMENT AND
EXPAND THE ENTERTAINMENT OF THE ICONIC PROPERTY

New BATTLE OPS BUMBLEBEE Action Figure and POWER CORE COMBINER Expression
Lead New Introductions For The Innovative And Popular Toy Line

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (February 12, 2010) â€" On the heels of launching 2009’s largest grossing movie and in anticipation of the next installment in 2011, the TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) ramps up the play in 2010 with new offerings that build on the energy and excitement from the brand’s history and blockbuster film franchise. Featuring over-the-top action figures, unique role-play items and innovative twists on the TRANSFORMERS brand signature play pattern, the 2010 lineup offers dozens of toys, two exciting promotions and an expansive worldwide licensing program across all major categories to satisfy and excite the brand’s ever-expanding fan base.

This spring the AUTOBOTS, the heroic protectors of Earth, need help from their human allies in the N.E.S.T. GLOBAL ALLIANCE as the planet continues to face threats from the evil DECEPTICONS. Hasbro is inviting kids and fans to join the alliance through a special promotion that is currently underway. By collecting three stickers included in specially marked TRANSFORMERS products, kids and fans can join the N.E.S.T. GLOBAL ALLIANCE and mail away for a special edition RAVAGE figure not available anywhere else. The promotion requires a payment of $4.95 for shipping and handling charges to receive the special edition figure and the offer is good while supplies last. Requests must be postmarked by April 30 and received by May 14. Then, in the fall, kids can ‘live’ the TRANSFORMERS adventure as the “Hunt for the DECEPTICONS” promotion begins. Look for exciting details about this interactive promotion later in the year.

If fans can’t wait until 2011 for the next TRANSFORMERS movie they can watch online webisodes of “Cyber Missions,” featuring new TRANSFORMERS adventures. “Cyber Missions” finds the AUTOBOTS working with humans in the N.E.S.T. global alliance to defend Earth against the revenge-seeking DECEPTICONS. There will be 12 webisodes total which began airing online at www.TRANSFORMERS.com in early January and new webisodes will continue to air throughout the year.
BUMBLEBEE continues to be one of the most popular TRANSFORMERS heroes as he acts as both a defender and a warrior for good. The new BATTLE OPS BUMBLEBEE action figure continues to push the boundaries of TRANSFORMERS toy innovation and showcases two sides of BUMBLEBEE with features unique to each of these roles. For example, when serving as a guardian, BUMBLEBEE features more playful phrases along with authentic engine sounds and lights. Then, when converted into battle mode, BATTLE OPS BUMBLEBEE has missile launchers that pop out, a converting plasma cannon that lights up, and phrases that change to reflect his battle personality.

Expanding upon the essence of DEVASTATOR â€" a robot built by combining multiple construction vehicles â€" the TRANSFORMERS brand unveils the new POWER CORE COMBINERS expression that redefines the magic of combination play. The toys deliver an interchangeable system of robots, vehicles and weapons that escalates the level of fun and increases the number of robots within a child’s TRANSFORMERS toy universe.

For those wanting to engage in heroic AUTOBOT role play, the TRANSFORMERS line offers new items including the OPTIMUS PRIME CYBER SWORD toy which features lights, battle and conversion sounds, as well as key phrases from OPTIMUS PRIME.
And for the youngest AUTOBOT-in-training, the TRANSFORMERS brand unveils the new ACTIVATORS expression of action figures. Designed with the youngest TRANSFORMERS fans in mind, ACTIVATORS toys feature easier conversion from vehicle to robot modes than traditional TRANSFORMERS figures and are available in popular characters such as OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE and MEGATRON.

Transformers Generation One - Action Master Kick-Off with Turbo Pack

Transformers are alien robots of a popular Hasbro toy line and its spin-offs.
Transformers: G1, includes both the animated television series The Transformers and the Marvel Comics comic-book series of the same name, which is further divided into Japanese and British spin-offs, respectively. Sequels followed, such as the Generation 2 comic book and Beast Wars TV series which became its own mini-universe. Generation 1 characters underwent two reboots with Dreamwave in 2002 and IDW Publishing in 2006. There have been other incarnations of the story based on different toy lines during the 2000s. The first was the Robots in Disguise series, followed by three shows that consist of the "Unicron Trilogy" (consisting of Armada, Energon, and Cybertron). A live-action film was also released in 2007 and a sequel has since been released in 2009, again distinct from previous incarnations, while the Transformers Animated series merged concepts from the G1 story-arc and the 2007 live-action film.

The Transformer Toys.co.uk website contains over 2,000 transformers toy imaget galleries one of which is Transformers Generation One - Action Master Kick-Off with Turbo Pack which you can view by clicking the link.

[tags transformers, transformers toy galleries, Transformers Generation One - Action Master Kick-Off with Turbo Pack]

Transformers Generation One - Action Master Skyfall with Top Heavy

Micromaster Collection was a small Transformers toyline released by Takara which ran from 2002 to 2003. It consisted entirely of reissues and redecos of the Micromaster six-combiner teams originally created for Return of Convoy and Operation Combination, plus the Multiforce from Victory. The time-and-space-bending story of the series, told through six short prose excerpts printed on the pack-in fliers which came with the toys, was set in the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity, and placed its action in the early 1980s prior to the awakening of the Autobots and Decepticons aboard the Ark.

For fans, Micromaster Collection is probably second-best known for being the first time any of the individual components of the combiner forms were given bios with complete personality writeups, over a decade after their original releases. (It is likely best known, of course, for inexpensively reissuing toys whose original versions commanded high prices on the secondary market due to their relative obscurity.)

The Transformer Toys.co.uk website contains over 2,000 transformers toy imaget galleries one of which is Transformers Generation One - Action Master Skyfall with Top Heavy which you can view by clicking the link.

[tags transformers, transformers toy galleries, Transformers Generation One - Action Master Skyfall with Top Heavy]

Transformers Generation One - Action Master Inferno with Hydro-Pack

The first Transformers toys were created from the different transforming robot toylines from Takara, notably the Diaclone and Micro Change (Microman) series. Hasbro acquired the rights to sell them in the United States but, instead of selling them under their original names, they were rebranded as "The Transformers." The first two years consisted primarily of reusing the Diaclone/Micro Change molds. Some of the models from the Diaclone line still have the pilot's seat in their design. The tagline to the Transformers is, "More Than Meets The Eye!" The earliest toys had some parts made of die-cast metal, which were eventually phased out.

It is worth noting that the line was released as "The Transformers" in the USA, Canada and the UK in 1984 but Takara was still marketing Diaclone at least during 1984. Hence in Japan "The Transformers" did not debut under that brand till 1985, when the line was also rolled out to the majority of the rest of the world between Takara and Hasbro. Hasbro Europe still will not accept, however, that the range was released in the UK in 1984, not even with evidence such as Argos 1984 catalogues containing the range, the UK comic launching in September 1984 or even the 1984 Transformers product catalogue produced by "Hasbro Industries (UK) Ltd, Wokingham." It is thought that Hasbro Europe as it now stands did not come into existence till 1985, hence no records of Transformers sales in 1984. UK Transformers toys were sold in identical boxes to those of their American counterparts up until around 1998/9 when the range started to have UK exclusives

Tony Todd (VA The Fallen) to return in Transformers 3

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Tony Todd (VA The Fallen) to return in Transformers 3.

Thanks to Den of Geek for posting an interview with Tony Todd, voice of The Fallen in which he confirms that he will be back in Transformers 3 - though either just as a look back to the past (as The Fallen) or as a new character.

Are you involved in Transformers 3 do you think?
Yes.

Definitely?
You want to quote me? What I was told last month, yes. But that\'s Hollywood!

Is there anything you can tell us about it? It\'s got to be worth a try.
No! There\'s more of it! [Laughs, starts thumping desk and making explosion sound effects]. Something along those lines!

It must be fun to do?
I felt like a big kid. When Michael Bay called me, I\'d worked with him before on The Rock, and he called me and said, \"Tony, I might have something for you.\" I said, \"Okay, you haven\'t called me in ten years!\" He said, \"I\'ve been busy!\" I said, \"I\'ve been busy too Michael, glad we could make our schedules match!\"

So he brings me and he\'s got this enormous computer bank with these half-finished robots, and it looks like a little bit of animation, drawings, black and whites, finished stuff. I can see the joy in him, because he\'s a big kid with a director\'s set. And he\'s got robots, 250 people working for him, and he\'s saying, \"You see this, you see that, you\'re going to take over the world.\" I\'m watching this man showing me, and I\'m like, \" Do you want me to do it like that, or do you want my interpretation of it?

Transformers Super Collection Figures - Act 4 - Pewter Convoy with Communicator

The Transformers is a line of toys produced by the American toy company Hasbro. The Transformers toyline was originally created and produced by Japanese company Takara Tomy (Formerly Takara) and branded as Diaclones and Microman. In 1984, Hasbro bought the distribution rights to the Diaclone and Microman toylines and rebranded them as the Transformers for distribution in North America. Hasbro would go on to buy the entire toy line from Takara shortly after giving them sole ownership of the Transformers toy-line, branding rights, and copyrights, while in exchange, Takara was given the rights to produce the toys and the rights to distribute them in the Japanese market. The premise behind the Transformers toyline is that an individual toy's parts can be shifted about to change it from a vehicle, a device, or an animal, to a robot action figure and back again. The taglines "More Than Meets The Eye" and "Robots In Disguise" reflect this ability.
