TakaraTomy start

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called TakaraTomy start.

According to an article on  Nikkei.co.jp,TakaraTomy have announced that they will be moving some of their production from China to Vietnam starting with capsule toys and tomica mini-cars.

\"Due to the increase of labour expenses and CNY exchange rate, TakaraTomy will be moving their production line from commissioned plants in China to Vietnam to cut production costs.  This will include capsule toys and Tomica mini-cars. Production value in Vietnam will increase from 15 billion yen by March of 2010 to 30 billion yen in 2011.

Production of toys in Vietnam 30% of total for capsule toys and 60% of total for Tomica cars next year, 100% for both.\"

No doubt as soon as any contracts with Chinese factories for other lines, including Transformers, will also be shifted away to save costs.  This will have a knock on affect that the Chinese leaked toys will stop for a small period until people find Vietnamese workers willing to offer the same services.
